good deal but i wouldn't buy this type of rice anymore, it's quite hard. Jasmine rice is the best.
Jusmine rice, long grain white rice - aren't they basically same type of rice? just with or without fragrance? and the cooking method is same. Why one is hard and another is not hard?? doesn't make sense to me.
I don't think it's the same, from what i've seen Jasmine seems to be a softer/stickier rice..

It smells bad and tasted well..lets say a bit odd!!

Never ever will buy Sunlong anymore, it doesn't how much water you put in, still came out hard and loose, no rice taste at all, hopeless … will just switch back to jasmine from Thai …
Horrible rice. I tried adding more water, still horrible. I tried using it in fried rice, the kids knew the difference straight away. Also tried using it in congee- awful. In the end, we took the rice back to the supermarket and got a refund.
They are not from Australia anymore like from Vietnam, taste bad.

Agreed its horrible, wouldnt even eat it if it was free. Cock brand Jasmin rice seems too be the tastiest and what lots of restaurants use.
Inconsiderate for giving a negative. IT IS a bargain. Whether you like it or not is not relevant. FYI, since Sun Long has become gluten free it is a harder rice, but healthier compared to those Jasmine rice.
That is subjective mate, in my eyes its not a bargain! Whether I like it or not is relevant… I don't like it, I don't think its a bargain because the Cock BRAND rice is 10x better then this.

Sun long is crap rice. Their medium grain is ok. But I have stopped buying rice from supermarkets. Go to Asian grocers to buy better tasting Thai rice.

Wow I'm surprised you managed to get a refund. It's not exactly Coles' fault that you didn't know short grain tastes way better than long grain. That's like buying a packet of salt and vinegar chips and getting a refund because it didn't taste like the light and tangy chips you normally eat.
