Anyone with a deal on a bigger freezer?

    • +1
  • Everything cryovaced? Because that's a lot of meat!

    • Good question - I'd like to know too

    • +4

it is whenever I've purchased from them. excellent product too

      • +1

Sounds good, were there use by dates on them for a guide?
Cryovaced to my knowledge should last ~4 weeks in the fridge?

        • Yes they have use by dates on the pack, although I found the date was a tad optimistic on the eye fillet pack I got.

        • @stumo:

Everything has dates and generally lasts 4 weeks in the fridge. It's also fine to freeze the meats as there's no air in the bags, so no freezer burn!

      • +1

what is your opinion on the quality of meat

      • +1

I second that, melt in your mouth meats, my mouth is already watering.

      http://suttonforestmeatandwine.com.au/pages/delivery

All meat is cryovaced for maximum tenderness and flavour and depending on product can last up to 4 weeks in the fridge. Each delivery will be ice packed and sealed in a recycled polystyrene box to ensure maximum chillness upon receipt. All items are labelled with a used by date.

    • Yes it is, apart from the Sausages!

      • +1

Any possibility you can split the pack evenly into two?
So we can go halves with another person?

        • +1 OP. I live in a household of two and mini packs would be awesome. 10/10 would buy a pack half this size.

  • How many people would this feed on average

Just did a quick comparison to Coles online (mostly selecting organic/best quality), and the total price was $271. So this IS a good deal. Thanks OP. $192 inc shipping to Perth.

    • +3

I can assure you, you'll taste the difference between our meat and supermarket meats! Thanks for sharing your comparison :)

      • +1

I have no doubt. Supermarket price appears to be inversely propotional to the quality.

    • +1

a supermarket is probably the worst comparison possible tho.
Try doing a comparison to a dedicated butcher or market

      • +2

And making sure the comparison is Grass Fed, Free Range, Black Angus Beef! :)

    • Agree it is a good price v Coles, however if you search out a good cheap local butcher you can get same prices every day
      example only: http://www.graysonsmeats.com.au

this is great for those who are not near cheap+quality and need delivery.

      • Graysons Meats - have you tried their products?

      • that's half way to perth

      • +1

Our beef is Black Angus beef, which is of a premium, restaurant quality, so I'd say these prices are somewhat comparable, but not quite in terms of the quality. :)

  • Might have given this a go if there was shipping to TAS.

    • Sorry Keef! Hopefully one day we can send our products down your way in Tassie!

  • Yoink .. thanks :)

  • I like american style bbq, so would like to get the brisket and ribs included in a pack. Is this doable with subs for something else?

    • +1

Yes you are able to sub mince or sausage for soemthing of equal or lesser value.

      • but can I sub the mince and sausage for brisket and ribs?

        • Look at the pricing under beef. It should give you an idea whether they are the same pricing or just PM the OP and ask.

        • +1

          @nightelves:
          No brisket under the beef

Was kind of hoping the OP would offer some help here. Being an impulse buy it always helps to get a little push over the line

        • @fattyboombatty:

If the difference is more then you just pay it via bank deposit.

        • +1

          @fattyboombatty:

Hey there! We can source brisket for you - we do all sorts of meats!

If you'd like to get in touch via our Facebook, I can chat directly with you about what we can look to swap - how does that sound? :)

How does delivery work? What if you are not home? Does the courier organise a time for delivery? I wouldn't want it left on my doorstep for the neighbours to steal.

    • I email a delivery time on Monday.

Delivery into Sydney takes place every Wednesday and for interstate on Thursday. Meat is delivered in polystyrene box packed with ice. If you are not home the delivery will be left at your front door or in another spot if you desire (please notify us). Is there a friend or neighbour (who doesn't steal your things) who could bring it in for you?

  • if i order now (im from WA) when will it be delivered OP?

    • According to the website they don't do delivery to WA.

  • OP, Are you able to do half a beast delivered to wollert 3750? If so whats the average price per kg come too?
