Apart from a story in July, I cannot find any mention of a potential watch being announced at Google I/O.
I've not heard anything about a Pixel watch. Nor can I find anything on Google.

I got this last December for $390, had the LG Urbane before hand and this looks a lot better. You can get different bands easily on eBay. Battery lasts me about 1 1/2 day.

Same, I would avoid getting any current smartwatch at the moment, wait for incoming S3 or other with the dedicated Wear chip for better battery life.
The S3 does look nice, but are you forced to pair it with a Samsung handset? I have the very old gen 1 Galaxy Gear and certain functions are disabled unless paired with a Sammy device. Unless this has changed in all their newer watches?
Can anyone comment on the experience of using this with an Iphone? Most of what I can find is negative on the experience, however, I can't really find anything past late 2015, and maybe there have been a bunch of software updates since then….
I used this with an old iPhone 5c for about a week, then got an Android phone to use with it. Messaging worked with the iPhone, but more functionality is available when paired with an Android phone.
