Suburb Advice - Glenfield NSW

Hello All,

I am looking to buy my first home in Sydney and wanted to seek some advise from the forum on the suburbs.
I have a family with 2 kids in primary school - years 4 and 1. I have found a new home and land package in the new side of Glenfield, which interests me, but before I go ahead, I wanted to get some advise on the area in general.
The main topics I need an opinion on is : safety/ crime rates, primary schools, high schools, community in general.

I would appreciate, if somone who is currently building in Glenfield or already living/ lived in the area with young family can provide some guidance.

        Better than St Marys yes, but probably no better than Blacktown. Glenfield is too close to Macquarie Fields and is sited way too far from the city. Blacktown has buses that run directly to the city and is easier to access better quality schools.
