i just left amaysim and ported to Vaya. no problems. inexpensive
problem free. paid ~$135 for 12months unlimited talk, text + 1gb data per month.
suits my needs perfectly. haven't gone over on data (not sure what happens if I do go over). use data for ebay, email, ozbargain, etc (no online games or video/streaming). no problem with coverage- except in very rural places - which is to be expected of any optus subsiduary - other perfect coverage in and around Bris, Melb and Darwin
Look into previous threads about Yomojo. Amaysim is fine as are some others.

Or Boost (Telstra)
These budget providers just ring alarm bells but boost or amaysim should be better choices
