These vibrate rather than rotate. I used to have one of the upmarket Oral-B models and after reading the reviews I went to the Sonicare a few years ago. It is noticeably better.
You should read some reviews or comparisons to decide if its worth it to you.
FYI these are normally over $300 in Aus but are often on special (currently $279 at Myer) and also sometimes have cashback offers from Philips.
Oh and I think Philips have a money back guarantee if you aren't happy (check before buying) but I'm not sure if that would apply if you imported one like this.

I wouldnt say its better. I actually have both and i alternate between the two (when one needs to be charged i use the other until that is flat). I feel after using one type of toothbrush for too long, it doesnt remove the plague as effectively anymore. It is just my feeling but it is noticeable. So everytime i switch, my mouth feels cleaner.
