    Cheers TA. Good deal.

Although I've gone 100% digital so don't have any physical media these days

  • The thing I don't like to buy in store from them is they don't do sealed copy.

    • Online sales is different in store. They wont match the sale instore for you. I am not sure because it is very strange, but i have experienced twice.

  • +2

Even better, for the 5 for 50, its coming up as "Minimum 5 for $10 each" meaning 6 for 60 and 7 for 70 etc.

    • +2

All Sanity deals work like this. Hit the minimum and every one after is the same price.

  • -1

Thanks, could you please itemise them for highest percentage reduction in cost, also allowing for quality of movie. (eg - the happening might be 80% off, but we can't go through Mark Wahlberg eyebrows again so not a deal)

Thanks I look forward to revisiting after you finish this

I was joking you bloody plebs.

      • Almost 40mins between post and 'im joking' and no :p at the end triggered some reactionary negs.

      • OK homie.

  • Jesus Christ it's Jason Bourne!

I used to stick up for Sanity until they started to bully a bunch of their staff out of jobs.

    • +3

Truth. They often treat staff pretty rubbish. Wish I could get rid of this damn associated tag as a reminder.

      • Were you previously associated with Sanity but are no longer? If so we can remove your association, please confirm.

        Thanks

        • Do mods have to patrol all the comments/edits/posts or just spend a lot of time browsing?

        • Yeah, was associated. No longer, thankfully. Thanks very much!

        • @savebueller:

          No probs fixed up now.

          @Savas

No usually people report things or we just happen to see them whilst browsing.

        • @hamza23:
Any chance you could remove my associated tag also, please? No longer work for them.

        • @9monkeyman9:

          Sure thing, done now.

      • +2

Aye, they bullied me out of my job as well. Most corrupt business in Australia, quite frankly.

  • +12

How is Sanity still in business? It is insanity!

  • Can someone recommend any good films that is worth getting on blu ray?:)

Also is the 5 for $40 films a better deal or the 5 for $50 films….

    • +1

Yeah - what do people class as the ultimate reference discs these days?

I remember when The Matrix was THE movie being used in all home theatre stores - and sometimes The Fifth Element (superbit version - DVD)! Ha!

      • +1

I don't actually know, but Mad Max: Fury Road and Gravity would likely be up there.

        • +2

My tips: Mad Max, Inception, Edge of Tomorrow, Star Wars, The Hurt Locker.

        • +1

          @rawm:

Nice tips mate. I was surprised to see The Force Awakens is actually on Netflix. Didn't expect to see it there.

        • +1

          @rawm:

I'll chuck in Oblivion with those, looks and sounds sweeeeeeet.

  • Was hoping the Breaking Bad series is available in this 5 for $50 sale, but no :(

  • Pretty similar selection to JB Hifi's "Buy 2 Get 1 free", but cheaper.

  • Well there goes my afternoon…

  • Some of the 5 for $50 movies are pretty recent / good. Jurassic World, Terminator Genesis, Days of Future Past Rogue Cut etc.

    • Jurassic and terminator were a bit of a let down IMO

  • I worked it out if you pay for $4.95 shipping it's about the same price as JB's deal

  • Good find!

Mad Max, Hateful Eight, Straight Outta Compton, 12 years a Slave, Edge of Tomorrow and The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance for $60, brilliant!

  • Do Not Forget Your Cashrewards.

I ordered 5- Mad Max, Interstellar, Mission Impossible - Rogue Nation, Everest, Begin Again

    Thank you

  • Do they have any Ghibli stuff?

  • So many people are paying for DVD's/Blu-ray/CD's, that is awesome!

  • Why never any sale on Avengers, Star Wars, Capt America etc

    • -1

      Because everybody ask the same…

      BTW and Iron man.

    • +1

The marvel back catalogue seems to be like first party Nintendo games - rarely on sale.

    • +1

Disney doesn't do sales really. Best time to by a Disney title is week one at Kmart or Target. Their 3D blus can hover around the 50 mark out of this time.

  • +1

    Any 3D Titles?

  • Amazing deal. Lots of 5 for $40 movies still at 6.99 iTunes (or similar) rental, though also plenty on Netflix. An extra 1.01 to keep the disc indefinitely. No brainer for anything with repeat viewing potential, especially kids movies, classics and densely detailed movies (like Lord of the Rings). Not so good for surprise-ending movies like Crying Game or Shutter Island.

Note that "Once Were Warriors" is normally $7.99 so buying it in the 5 for $40 sale might get you blackballed from OzBargain for wasting a cent.

  • +3

Worth pointing out that it's free delivery for orders over $80.

  • The Paw Patrol dvds are a great buy at 5 for $40 or buy the whole 6 for $48 if you're kids are into them .They usually sell anywhere between $13 -$20 each.I bought them last week for $8.75 each from sanity online & i was happy with that price so even cheaper again now .
