Hi all, looking for a decent, reliable, honest mechanic in Brisbane. I have a Toyota. I used to drive to Wynnum but my mechanic went belly up. Any ideas/recommendations?
Any decent, reliable mechanic in Brisbane?

South Brisbane, but I don't mind driving 10-15km.
I trust these guys. Not the cheapest, but they do a good job. Maybe do a Google search for some highly rated mechanics near you and give them a go.

Athena Automatics. New Cleveland Road, Tingalpa. Repco accredited so warranty on all repairs. Reasonable price and great service. Ask for Tony the manager.
If you were on the north side then I'd recommend Toys Automotive in Redcliffe. honest, professional, value
Robertson Automative at the Gabba. Been fixing my cars for 30 years. A small operator, but absoloutely honest and reliable.
I've been going to Absolute Car Care in Woolloongabba for several years and been happy with them.
Very high ratings on Truelocal, Google Reviews, Facebook, Fixed Price Service, etc as well.this is who hubby and I use and recommend https://www.whitepages.com.au/motor-service-cleveland-114869…
The BP in East Brisbane, my girlfriend swears by them even tho we live on the North Side now, she had a clutch failure and he could have easily ripped her off when it turned out to be a simple clip that failed, he replaced it for the $1 or $2 it was worth and a minimal labour charge
Thanks a lot everyone, you have been super helpful. I'll weigh my options and hopefully let you know so I can recommend the same mechanic to others!
Make sure you do not use KTAS…they are hopeless.
The only one I tried recently was a mechanic in the Gabba when I sold my old car about a year ago. He was super-expensive and didn't play ball with the RWC, wanted almost $1000 to certify it. Drove to Wynnum and got it certified under $300. Still paid him for the 'examination' though.
Which suburb do you live in?
