I haven't seen anyone post bout this. I didn't make a deal post as it probably doesn't count but 11pm every night at woolies they reduce their chickens, probably common knowledge but me and dad have now made it a weekly, sometimes twice a week, ritual to hit woolies after 11 and get a chicken. Tonight I got it $3.95, cooked at 9:15pm.
Any of my fellow night owls hit those woolies after 11 and enjoy
Same here - our local Woolworths closes at 9, and they only ever put out about 8 chickens at a time, so there's rarely ever any left when the next batch goes out, let alone at the end of the day.
yeh i always walk over 30 mins before closing, i used to stand there and assess how many they had and how long till closing, and see if they reduce them more… my wife got embarrassed though…

We don't actually do that at Wollies because there is a chicken store that does bigger BBQ chicken for the same price after 5pm or so. Had been doing that each week for a month but got sick of eating them.
Lucky to find a woolworths open past 9pm
they have a rule that after 4 hours, all cooked food goes to 25% off, then 50% off then more
At some stores you need to beat off the staff to get to the BBQ chickens when they start to reduce the prices.
Not sure I want to "beat off" the staff… girls maybe but the guys? Nah I'm good.
Yeah they always reduce them before close, got a few $2 ones while on holiday. unfortunately my local closes at 10 and they only make enough chickens so there's none left by around 8ish :(
