Help Me Buy CCTV Surveillance System?

Hi I need about 6 outdoor cameras for my house.
Have no idea what and where to buy? Any ideas on where to look for and how much to spend? Please suggest me from your experiences, Thanks.

    Are you wanting hidden cameras for bathrooms/bedrooms or just a conventional dome camera or similar?

    I can not recommend any current offers, however a quick search of OZB reveals some previous offers which may assist in terms of feedback and achievable price points.

    Hikvision poe cameras
    Run network cables to each camera
    Power them off a poe switch

    Cameras are about 120 each
    Full HD 2.1mp and excellent day and night images

    POE switch is about 80
    Cabling varies on length

    You could do it easy for under $1200 if you can work out what you want and it will kill any rubbish swann or prepackaged camera kit any day

    Up to you wether or not you use blue iris or a hdd dvr
