Worth mentioning there is 35% discount (~ USD 103) on Fossil Q Founder if ordered via Alexa. https://goo.gl/xwMo2d

  • Not available for purchase in australia link for me.. if anyone can email me a copy let me know please

    • I just purchased it with no issues. Log into your Amazon AU account first, then click on the AUS link above. For me it says "Kindle Price: $0.00" and "Buy now with 1-Click(R)".

You can't email Kindle e-books. Even if you could extract the file containing the book, it's encrypted and will only decrypt for the person who purchased it.

      • it's encrypted and will only decrypt for the person who purchased it.

I've heard that if you have Kindle for PC/Mac, Calibre E-book Management and a certain plug-in installed that it will (something) those encrypted e-books.

      • yes,

But if the book owner happened to call on the power of Apprentice Alf.. (as mentioned by @MiniMoo, there's a Calibre plugin too - does Kindle, Adobe, Barnes & Noble, etc)

  • Huh, just went to buy this and Amazon says I already bought it in June (for free).
Guess I better have a read of it.

I have been fascinated with the Echo since seeing it on Mr Robot.

When I first heard of it, I thought it would be a gimmick, but now that I have read up on a few reviews (and seeing it on Mr Robot), I think I am in love with Alexa…

    • She does have the cool factor. I guess like Siri did on release, but the hands-free, always on, built in speaker, home automation and many other skills make her a lot better.

That said, I mostly use mine for playing Pandora (saying "Alexa, play Pandora" starts last played station, which for me is normally Thumbprint radio).
Occasionally for turning the lounge/office/bedroom lights on or off (LIFX lights).

Wife mostly asks her to tell a joke. Or the weather.

  • They look to be charging now $3.99 AUS site now
