Best Cashback Offer for Apple iPhone 7?

I was thinking of buying an iPhone 7 from the Apple online store. I noticed however that all the cashback offers (cashrewards etc) that used to be available for Apple have been discontinued.

Flybuys is offering 1 point per dollar spent at Apple
Qantas is offering 2 points per dollar spent at Apple

Anyone aware of any other ways to 'juice' a little extra value from my iPhone purchase?

Or are there any places selling an iPhone 7+ 128GB for less than Apple? Only interested in upfront purchase.

I bought discounted JB gift cards through my work - 7.5% off.
You won't find any stock for at least two weeks, though, and no one is discounting them because of the high demand.

According to recent news, stock availability will be "super" limited so might need to wait longer especially to buy in-store.

      • I don't think it's going to be that limited, judging by shipping estimates.
The jet black will be impossible to find, but most other colours are still showing 2-3 week shipments on pre-orders.

You don't earn Qantas points from the Qantas Online Mall for buying iPhone7.

Qantas Points are not offered on newly released product lines like Apple iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, Apple Watch, Apple Watch Nike+, Apple Watch Series 2, Apple Watch Hermès and Apple AirPods, except iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPad Pro, Apple Pencil, iPod, the 9.7-inch iPad Pro, iPhone SE, the 13-inch MacBook Air, Beats Solo3 Wireless On-Ear Headphones and Apple Watch Bands.

Pretty sure something similar in the fine print for flybuys too.

    • That is truly shonky marketing.

    • Where is that written? Is it still the case??

      • Click on the Apple Store on the Qantas Mall to view terms and conditions.
They update it frequently. Looks like iPhone 7 is now eligible.

Qantas Points are awarded for purchases made through Apple.com. Qantas Points are not offered on newly released product lines like the new MacBook Pro and Apple AirPods, except Apple iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, Apple Watch, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPad Pro, Apple Pencil, iPod, the 9.7-inch iPad Pro, iPhone SE, the 13-inch MacBook Air, Beats Solo3 Wireless On-Ear Headphones and Apple Watch Hermes Bands. There is a maximum cap of five (5) units per eligible product in each order, except iPhone, in which case Qantas Points will only be issued for up to two (2) units per customer within a thirty-day (30-day) period. Qantas Points will not be paid on units exceeding this cap. Qantas Points are also not awarded on Bose products, gift wrapping, gift cards, One to One Membership, pre-paid orders, or on freight, tax or handling charges.

        • Cheers that's the way I read it!

I assume the points are in addition to any points earned via your credit card/Qantas Cash card etc?

        • @scanuck: that's correct

  • Short of hoarding gift cards, no. Stores will sell their entire stock at full RRP so have no incentive to discount.
