If you are a taxpayer, this is not entirely free you have paid for it. As plenty of your hard-earned goes to SBS.
"Plenty" is probably an overstatement. SBS is the only channel/service I can stand.
I used to watch a lot of SBS On Demand movies, great selection. However they seem to have ramped up the ads quite a bit, so much so, you may as well be watching TV. I tried using Adblock on Chrome, but now a big banner comes up that you have to get up to close. I guess only other option is to download and fast forward, a bit of a hassle really :(
I use it on my Panny TV and Sony bluray, only 1 30sec ad at the beginning, considering the bluray was 50 bucks it was the best 50 bucks I had spent for ages
Does anyone know of an app or a site that displays the movies available on this with a rottentomatoes score (or similar) against each movie? I use "JustWatch" app to get this for Netflix, Stan and Presto, but sadly it does not support SBS On Demand.

Melfes, There is a round button - movie filter on the right side of movie web page. You can select categories G/PG/MA/ MA 15+ what you need and then sort the movies by most popular.

Should be using mirroring but there isn't a native throw button, although apparently will be available in the next couple of weeks according to above posts
Not sure about other TV brands, but our Sony Bravia has the SBS on Demand app available. We binge watch most of the European series available all weekend long. Love it!!

It's about a nazy war criminal who worked for the US intelligence corps (he was in Bolivia and used his network)
Can anyone tell me what resolution they are getting from the movies? Most seem to be 640x360px for me. Just want to know if that is as good as it gets, or I need to change something.
All below SD = LQ.
I've come across a couple that are 1280x720 res, but 95+% seem to be 640x360px
Too many commercials while old movies are broadcast.
When I use it via the Panasonic TV or Sony Bluray app there is one ad at the beginning only, I have never used it otherwise
I get about 10 commercials per movie on my SONY smart app. The quality is very bad.

I have watched cocaine cowbows 2 and the tyson doco both without adds using chrome with adblock. I watched ip man as well but mainly just skip to fighting scenes
I don't seem to get any ads when downloading, plus it avoids streaming issues
