A dishwasher noob here. With the TGG 20% dishwashers deal atm, I'm down to these two models. Which one should I pick? Or is it worth the extra to go something higher?
Westinghouse WSF6606X for $575.20
Bosch SMS40E08AU for $598.40 (with BONUS LE CREUSET CASSEROLE DISH ON BOSCH)
I'm in the same boat as OP. They are both 3.6 stars, they are the better dishwashers in the affordable range after the 20% sale at the Good Guys.
However, it seems like unless you are willing to fork out over $1,000, all the models are highly susceptible to a complete failure within the first 4 years.

I have an ASKO.. more $$ but seriously the best dishwasher I've ever had. If you just want a dishwetter, any other brand would be fine.
If you're looking at a Bosch, get one with a cutlery drawer. It's worth its weight in gold.
We prefer a basket as it's easier to remove and carry to the cutlery drawer though.
The cutlery drawer on my Delonghi sucks. Stacking it is fiddling and takes longer, plus it doesn't clean the cutlery as well.
We went back to using the cutlery basket from my old Kmart special dishwasher.
Had Westinghouse and Maytag in the past. OK but WH in particular was very Noisy. Got an LG Stainless from HN about 3 years ago with extended Warranty. Been faultless so far. Plus, VERY QUIET. Can be on while watching TV and you hardly notice. Good Drying also. Might be worth the extra.

Bosch SMS40E08AU rated a 79% in their tests (the highest score of all dishwashers). See screenshot of their review.
They haven't reviewed any Westinghouse models. The chart tells the tale that most of the dishwashers performed similarly so no need to spend the extra money if you have a deal. You also want to use the right detergent, see my other post.
Some reviews I found online stated that the Bosch one is plastic inside. Should it be a concern?

It's not the fastest but the top can be taken off so while I worry others may not quite fit in the almost exactly 850mm high space in our kitchen I know this one will even if it doesn't with the top on.
Bit pricier than the SMS40E08AU but had some of the best user reviews. It isn't a fast unit though and appears to have a few features the cheaper model is missing.

Miele has $200 off some of their dishwashers in September 2016, bringing their entry level down to $999 including free delivery wherever you buy it. Worth considering given Miele's reputation. It has the original cutlery drawer design.
