Looking to buy a Wii U though there doesnt appear to be any good deals at the moment matching the sub-$300 deals that I can see from expired deals.
Does anyone know of any reasonable deals or can suggest the best place to buy a Wii U currently?

I think I'd rather buy a new console though. I dont mind paying the current cost but I'm looking for the best value bundle if that makes sense. I think EB has a few bundles but no clue which would be the best
I went the 2nd-hand route as well, although my deal wasn't as epic as yours.
The latest firmware version (5.5.1) is quite compatible with homebrew, btw.
If you are lucky some targets may still have the $279 splatoon bundles
Don't be afraid of the white console. Exact same thing with a bit less GB. Just get a thumbstick and you're good.

Benefit is that you might stumble onto an low firmware version of the Wii U which could eventually see homebrew / custom firmware as it'll definitely increase its useful life just like the Wii's.
I got my black Wii U premium for $220 (including postage) in Feb months back. The controller/tablet had a screen protector and silicone case already on it. Came with a Wii U Pro controller and a Wii classic controller pro too. I got Mario as well with it.
