I spoke to the Staff at multiple JB-HI-FI's and they have told me that they have been told they are going to get Note 7 back in stock on the 21st.
Figured there might be a few people waiting to get their hands on the phone once again… :)

what damage? I bet you don't even own a Note 7 and weren't planning on getting one anytime soon. No one died.
I"m getting my two note 7 phones replaced on the 21st from Samsung.
Hi @niner have you had the date confirmed by Samsung? I'm still waiting for a call from them. ..
30 phones out of around 3 million sold = defect rate of 0.00001%. Samsung did the right thing and opted to be safe and recall ALL of them to be sure. Meanwhile, with Antennagate and Bendgate, Apple just say its your fault. No doubt exploding batteries are much more serious than the latter 2, but I personally think Samsung have handled this very well and it makes me respect them more as a company
I agree with you 100%, I made my mind last year after the Note5 was released that I was going to get the next Note (currently have Note4).
I am unhappy it has been delayed so long and that it is taking forever although I respect Samsung so much more than Apple due to the way things are handled.
I will however be waiting for Kogan to get the Note7 in stock as I am after the blue variant.
Blowing up in stores soon
The Samsung website says that they will not be selling any Note 7s to new customers in September so that they have enough stock to replace the phones of customers impacted by the recall.
It's anticipated that sales of Note 7 to new customers in Australia will commence in early October.
It doesn't say whether it's Samsung themselves not selling to new customers or whether that includes other retail places.
I see, Maybe the JB-HI-FI information was in regards to people who purchased the Note 7 from them and returned it to them to get a replacement? I told each of the stores that I was wanting to buy it but wasn't able to due to the recall.
Possibly the stores will be getting their stock back which they had in the first place, and those stores will be able to sell their own stock but Samsung itself will not sell the phone.
It sounds like the first in the new batches are reserved for replacements rather than new sales.
Although from a profit perspective, I do think it's actually in the retail stores' interest to sell what they have to new customers and then blame samsung when there's not enough "replacements".
From what I would imagine, If you owned a store and had 100 phones in stock, and sold 70 phones(30 still in stock)
The recall would mean your store would send away the 30phones in stock and also wait for customers to return their phones one at a time.
In the end this would mean the store has sent away 100 phones and will receive 100 phones back, they will be able to ship out the previous customers phones asap.
By doing this, the store will now have another 30 phones in stock to sell. So it seems like first in to get the stock will mean you will get it much sooner than anyone else. As new stock wont arrive anytime soon it seems.
Would this be how it would be handled?
I would imagine that the store would return the existing stock to Samsung and tell them how many they have sold. Then Samsung would send out a new batch with the number that the shop has sold so that the store could issue replacements on the spot rather than make the customers wait.
As the returns come in from customers, they would be forwarded back to Samsung.
After all the potential replacements have been sent to the different shops, Samsung can then distribute the other new stock to stores.
Note 7 sales start again on Sep 28th in Korea. World wide release will begin some time after that. Once each county gives clearance. I returned only my phone with no accessories. Eg, only note 7 phone none of the following -spen -box -charger -usb cable -headphones ect.
This is so bad for people seeking a bargain price for the phone.
This whole thing has delayed the price fall.
Still need to wait and see how the new batch behaves.
Grey stock is effectively ruled out.
I am pretty disappointed with what has happened too, if there was no delay I am sure the phone would have had a price fall coming soon.
I am still pretty keen to buy the blue coral version of the Note 7 meaning I will need to purchase through Kogan (most likely as its the more reputable grey import site imo) and I will just have to call up and make sure that the phone is one of the new fixed stock.
I really want to get this phone but afraid of people watching me and suspecting me when using at the airport or flight. It's annoying. The camera is much better than iphone 7 plus and any other phones.
Update: checked with flagship samsung store this morning. They have no information on when they will start selling it again.
JB HiFi Sydney say mid October for new sales.
Damage has been done.
