Was looking around to see if there were any places for 'matchmaking' spotify users for family plans, as apparently no-one I know wants to either pay, or pay less, for spotify. Came across this:

    Hi all,

    Ok so I've also decided to move to the family plan, looking for people to share with.

    Same deal as others on here. Looking for people to pay upfront for 12 months for $36 per slot. If the price increases, I'll make the duration bit shorter to cover myself, but if plan price decreases, i'll make the duration a bit longer. At your 11th month, I'll email you and ask if you want to extend for another year.

    I've got a couple of open slots on the Spotify Family account i manage. If anyone is interested, i am offering an account for only $5 per month.

    The only caveat would be that the suggested playlists will be Filipino, but everything else functions the same.

    Happy to give a couple of days for free for peace of mind

      Not to try and hurt your sale, but a filled family account shouldn't cost more than $3/month.

      Considering that you are using the Spotify from the Philippines, it should be $5.2/month for 6 people. So $0.87/month.

        If I recall, at that point, Spotify family plans were for 6 people.

        I wonder if back than, OP was just trying to get a free account, whereas now it seems like OP is trying to profit.

        admittedly i'm trying to make a couple of dollars off this, i still think it's a great deal though and certainly lower than the going rate in Australia.
        It's also a massive pain to set up a Philippines account, requiring a proxy to make the account, and a Philippines paypal that can only be topped up via another paypal. I'm offering to take all that stress away ;)

      Why so pricey. Assuming 6 people on the account, doesn't it equate to no more than $11/year? Sure there may be some fluctuations, but not that great.

      Just be weary of anyone offering to you a Phillipino account. There seem to be a few here trying to make a profit whereas most people are happy to just share the costs evenly (ie. Filo account should be no more than $11-12/year, but trying to get you to pay $20).
