Flybuys advice

Hi.

Looking for some advice from you Flybuys professionals.

I'm currently doing one of those 'spend $X for 4 weeks, get lots of points' offers. Next week is my last week and I want to double up with Cashrewards for first online shop.

I haven't been able to achieve this in the past because you have to order and have delivery in same week, and usually all the delivery slots are gone for me :(

If I can swing it this time, I also have a couple of dockets with barcodes that you scan at a physical store for bonus points. Can I use these for an online shop??? Will they cancel out my Cashrewards bonus???

Thanks for your advice.

You cannot use physical coupons and docket deals with barcodes on an online order.

It is highly risky using online shopping to qualify for the spend X for 4 weeks offers. If Coles are out of stock on multiple items the amount finally invoiced after the delivery will go below the qualifying target. When I shop instore I only spend the exact amount I need. This tactic doesn't work for online orders due to the out of stock and subsitution issues. If you order more than $12.50 worth of goods extra in order to negate the out of stock risk, then you don't get any benefit from the 4 week promotion. The $12.50 figure is based on the pro rata benefit for each week of the 4 week promotion.

If you want to take up week 4 of the promotion online, do the order as early as possible in the Monday to Sunday timeframe. If you do this you face less risk of the order or invoicing being delayed by Coles and missing the deadline. If something reduces the order total well below the required target, you will then have the option of going shopping later in the week and making a transaction for the full target amount and qualifying for the promotion that way.

I have seen reports where members have gotten their bonus points even when the online amount was below the target. The only way to get the points is through lots of follow up contacts with Flybuys and there is still no guarantee you will get the points.

    • thanks. good advice. maybe i'll stick to going to a store.
