Edit: I can see the banner in 2 of my 3 Google accounts, and the code method worked for the 3rd account which didn't have the banner.
Go to Google Play —> Redeem (on the left menu bar towards the bottom), type in the code. After it's confirmed the discount will automatically be applied at the final step when you confirm purchase and payment method.
Hint: Google Family members can be exploited to use the code multiple times.

The code works. Redeem it via the redeem button in the menu (on the left on desktops). It activated the coupon for use until the 29th for me; which is great, because It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

Damn I wish I had read your comment first, before I just bought Season 6. I have heaps of Telstra credit saved up for GoT seasons. Have you confirmed that it works, buying the whole 1-6 using the discount?

How good is the HD picture quality of the show (especially the first seasons) and is it in 4:3 or 16:9?
The X-files was available on DVD for the longest time ever, but the Blu-ray version (remastered, 16:9 throughout) was only released last year.
Does the Google Play version look more like the DVD one or the new Blu-ray transfer?
Had a looksie on the first episode and definitely looks re-mastered. Pretty chuffed with the deal. Bought Sopranos with wife's Telstra credits and code.

Keep in mind that the banner disappears after you click it. To see if it has been added to your account you need to click on "Account" on the left of the screen and then look up the offer under the "Rewards" heading.
Anyone else having the same problem with missing episodes? I'm thinking of buying season 3 of The Last Ship but I see in the episode list that the Play store is missing episodes 7 & 11!

Did this but it still shows you full price on the box that pops up that has the price for SD and HD. I am concerned I will get charged the full amount if I click on those prices. What have I missed?
Try the code method, it sounds like it hasn't applied to your account. You will see the discounted prices when it works.

@Marrk: Figured out the problem. To get the 50% off ANY season you must use the mobile app. If you use the desktop version and you claim the reward it takes you to specific page with only a certain selection of seasons. But once the code is on your account ANY season through the app has the code applied.
I know this is the case becuase avatar complete series is not on that page and is $54.49, whereas I got it for $27.24 throught the app.
