It has been 2 months since our last Sydney meetup. I have a morning meeting in Pyrmont next Wednesday (14 September 2016), and wonder whether anyone wants to get out the office, enjoy a bit of spring sun, and meet with some other OzBargainers during lunchtime (12-1PM). Moreover, I will bring some limited edition OzBargain 10 year anniversary T-shirts to give away.

We were at Wynyard last time so we should meet somewhere in city south this time. Any good outdoor public area between Darling Harbour and Central station? Belmore Park? Please suggest. Edit: it has been decided, I will be at the south side of Hyde Park at 12, near Anzac Memorial.

Again there's no real agenda. Just lunch time catch up so we can see some real life OzBargainers. Last time Scrooge McDuck shared his Pokemon Go tips & his professional ozbargaining adventures.

      Just set the meeting place to be Museum Station near Hyde Park. Won't be doing Pokemon catching though — at least for me, as my LG G4 bootlooped over the weekend. Now waiting for a replacement phone.

      I don't visit that part of city often, which is why I am asking for suggestions :)

      lyl suggested Hyde Park although it is a bit far from city south.

        only alternatives if you're looking for a park are a lot further out of the way. the south west end of hyde park is closest to the city south. also my office isn't in surry hills anymore so I'd be more likely to come if it was there.

          The homeless live amongst the tree patches closest to the light rail and they don't bother anyone.

          Prince Alfred Park is an alternative, pretty big with great facilities. You can cut through the pedestrian tunnel under Central and get there from the Darling Harbour direction. Everyone will have pokemon go on so you could use a pokestop to pinpoint a meeting area.

    I am already at Hyde Park. As Museum Station is under construction, I have relocated to the south side of Anzac Memorial here. Turned out to be a nice day & I am wearing an OzBargain T-shirt so you won't miss it.

    Waited for an hour and no one turned up. Heading home now — looks like the lure of free OzBargain T-shirt is not enough…

    I suppose I should be more observant. I arrived at 12.28pm (not bad for someone from the Lower Hunter) and briefly recorded some very noisy power tools at the Station entrance:-

    Wearing a zip-up jacket because the weather was far worse when I set off, I strolled around for 18 minutes, including up to the Anzac Memorial, but saw nobody wearing an OzBargain T-shirt. Assuming cancellation I left at 12.46pm after taking this photo of Museum Station:-
