I have an Alcatel Pixi3 which does all I need.I have a number of sim deals from Amaysim and WW lasting io Dec next year which I alternate to keep my number.Tether works ok with Amaysim but not WW…but if I put the sim in an Haewei phone,it works fine using exactly the same settings…Can anyone tell me why this happens?

Hi Tnx for reply…yes WW is on Telstra..but wont tether (is unlocked)..put sim in other phone also unlocked..use same settings and teher works…strange
Does the Alcatel have Telstra APN set up?
I don't know if this is what's happening but maybe Telstra is blocking tethering. Telstra, being Australia's scummiest, most expensive ISP with it's hordes of ignorant customers is just the kind of wretchhed business to do this and I know certain carriers in the US block tethering.
What I don't know is if they can do it at the network level ie. when your connected to Telstra.

WW is on Telstra now isn't it?
Is the ALcatel locked to Optus?
Even if not, you'll need a Telstra APN to get mobile data on WW.
