I Need an Office Chair. HELP

Does anyone here own a Herman Miller Embody Chair or a Steelcase Gesture Chair, I'm stuck between the two..
I need a chair and a good one.
i know chairs are the devil so if its not constructive please go back to the troll cave :)

    I own the Herman Miller Embody and have to say LOVE IT. Not sure about the other one but 1year on and still going strong

    I wanted mesh so I grabbed the Mirra 2, which I'm loving.

    Have you gone to a store to try them both out?

        Unfortunately what do you want from people here? Your situation is your own doing and the reality is unless you can plop your own ass down in the chair then you wont know.

        How the hell can text give you any guidance on that matter?

        The best you can do is find out which is the closest city centre that has an example that you can sit in and when you can best arrange to get down there.

    If you arent in a rush watch for when they go on sale (not Very often) but i managed to get mine when price dropped with free shipping (i live in cairns) so that was a big bonus as these come fully built so not little.

        Living Edge they are in Brisbane City if you are ever in town pop in and try them out..in my research for this chair i heard if you say you are an architect you get discount…didnt try this but who knows..

    The Steelcase looks dodgy and cheap to me. So completely unqualified opinion: buy the Herman Miller.

      It does look dodgy but the reviews are great…
      Herman an Miller seem to be the Iphone of chairs..
      I love the design but not sure of the difference.

      And being that I'm so far from a seat to try, I'm going to have to either flip a coin or find a no ridk trial for both.

      Hey mate,

      I'm heading down to Melbourne next Friday for a week to see a friend and while I'm there i'm going to test a couple chairs.
      I figured due to return policies in rural areas like mine that its better to fly to try, then buy.
      I'll post here when I return after trying them.
