Devices similar to Wii Fit

First of all, I am not technology savvy but I want a device similar to Wii Fit.

Went to Target recently to buy Wii Fit but they said they dont make them anymore and I am not sure whether XBOX, PlayStation etc would give me same sort of functions.

The purpose behind buying the new device is for my 3 yo niece to play tennis, dancing etc. She is a good dancer and that would be the main purpose. Another purpose is for grown ups to do play table tennins etc like using Wii Fit and get a bit of exercise. Please suggest me options on what devices / games should I be buying.

    I used to play my Wii Fit everyday to earn fit cash. I can now see it is better to go outside.

    If you want dancing or table tenis I am not sure those are on the Wii Fit as those games can be played just with the remote. I used to really like the Just Dance games.

    I would consider looking on gumtree around your area for a used xbox + kinect, or wii + wiifit. If you wait it out you will probably find a good deal locally with a bunch of games thrown in. You will get enough life out if an old one to know how much you and your niece like it. If you all love it, then you can buy the next generation nintendo console or xbox brand new - she might be old enough then to have stronger opinions on games she wants to play as well, which might make you choose one over the other.

    Just Dance is a great series and doesn't need a Balance Board. There are also some kids focused ones; I think the most recent ones are called Just Dance Disney Party or something. There was also Just Dance Kids in the past. All of them are available for Wii, and are quite cheap. You could buy a second-hand Wii for cheap and all those games for cheap, or play them on a Wii U. Then other games on both that adults might play are Wii Sports, Wii Sports Plus and on the Wii U, there is Wii Sports Club.

    Just to be clear: Wii U is the current generation and can play Wii games, but a Wii cannot play Wii U games.

    eb games i think still sells wii… i have one and bought a balance board for wii u, and was compatible with my older wii… (bought in target), great to keep track of weight, exercise etc…. you can get wii games on gumtree, ebay and ebgames… sometimes bargains too…got a sports wii game for 2c at target :)

    Hey TA,

    If you have a wii, look for the Wii Fit PLUS version of the game and balance board. If you go to Cashconverters you can usually get the wii fit board for about $10-20 and wii fit plus is probably about the same. Wii fit plus has extra mini games and settings over the original wii fit.

    EB currently has a 3 for $15 for wii fit plus which can be picked up from the city https://ebgames.com.au/wii-147796-Wii-Fit-Plus-preowned-Nint…

    Another option to also look for is Wii Sport Resorts. This has added games that REQUIRE the wii motion plus add on (or in-built) but has some fun games to play as well.
