First time posting a deal, play nice.

Kogan 1400W Vitablast Blender $78 with free shipping, 'was' $126 = $48 saving. Lately price has been $105-115, so this is the cheapest in a while. I think cheapest ever was $69?

Why would I buy this over the Russell Hobbs Colour Control Blender with a glass jug for $29.00?

    • +2

1400w vs 850w, 2l jug vs 1.5l jug, Kogan one should do a lot more than the basic RH one

    • The last Russell hobs brand appliance I bought was the stick mixer, the quality was so terrible it was actually useless, I had to throw it away..

      • Why didn't you return it if it wasn't fit for purpose? We are covered for this under Australian consumer law.
Plenty of good comments from owners in past deals on this blender.

        • Goodguys don't accept change of mind returns, actually it may have gone to the op shop rather than landfill

        • @jjsnacks: But you said it was useless, so that falls under the not fit for purpose law which they can't refuse.

        • @28Degrees:

          Good to know!

This looks the same as my aldi blender which was $100, amazing blender it's as good as a friends $350 one, liquefies anything

    • Yep - this blender is rebadged by a few companies, one of which is Kuchef which I think is the one Aldi sometimes has.

Gets good reviews - very good blender for the price.

  • I have this blender and it has now been returned twice, both times with the same problem. The blades both times have locked up and it stops spinning. I wouldnt recommend it, my cheapie Russell Hobbs one, whilst a little less powerful, has a base that you can remove, thus no risk of the blades locking up

    • How does that work with Kogan when you have to return something, who pays for postage?

      • Kogan will send you a printable return free postage slip.

        • Exactly as Kei has said, they issue a slip for you to print and give to the Post Office. You need to make sure you retain the original packaging though as they'll need it for sending it back

These have the same size profile as the vitamix and omniblend which are beasts with some kind of 3HP motor, they devestate the food.
I recommended a pal a green smoothie cheaper blender on ebay which was this http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/252442801657 which also has that 'older beefy blender' look to it. From the videos he's sent me it seems pretty legit at doing a real smash up of the vegies unlike those little bullet things.

(The one in this may be similar btw)
P.S if you can buy a 1.5L jug (square) rather than the full height 2L do it - you'll never blend the extra 500ml and the 1.5L shorter jugs fit in the kitchen easier under overhead cupboards.

Heads up, it's $80 on their Ebay store and if you can use the $20 off via the app voucher it brings it down to $60. Just bought one myself!

  • These are a fantastic blender. Had one for 2 years or so from when they were $69. Never missed a beat and more powerful than anything other than the $300+ blenders (like vitamix and omniblend). Chuck out the Nutribullets and get this instead.
