Apparently, it's a Tuesday only deal
Also, Blueberries are $2.99 a punnet.

Like any greengrocer you need to have a keen eye for prices and quality. Considering how quickly BP turn around fruits and veggies most things are pretty fresh, the veggies and herbs in the cool room particuarly.
where is this place
wantarina, vic
We used to go there regularly when they first opened years ago. Their prices now are mostly a rip-off and we no longer visit. They lure you in with these deals on a couple of items and you are likely to buy other items there, at much higher rates. Find dandenong market to be much better value.
thanks for the feedback avoiding me dragging myself there for nothing. I have been finding dandenong market quality has been going a bit downhill and since the cambodian grocer in the plaza has renovated he no longer has good bargains. Since I've moved quite far i just go there for the snacks
Yeah I do agree that overall quality at dandenong is dropping. I'm. Hoping its temporary. Still happy with it for the price I pay.
I live nearby so its usually where we get our veg and fruits, not the cheapest but not too bad, good specials and large variety.
their business certainly is booming. they have like 10 cashiers collecting money non stop and still gets a long queue to the back of the shop.
Try visiting knox shopping centre. The big market in the middle. Find it has better value.
Last time I went I did notice the long lines. Personally don't see the value anymore on most items.
thanks for the tip
Seedless Watermelon
How do they propagate these without seeds ???
Seedless watermelons are grown from seeds. These seeds are produced by crossing diploid and tetraploid lines of watermelon, with the resulting seeds producing sterile triploid plants. Fruit development is triggered by pollination, so these plants must be grown alongside a diploid strain to provide pollen.
In other news, isn't "Jap" a racial slur?
the resulting seeds producing sterile triploid plants.
That's sad :(
Those cheap oranges are great, they don't look pretty, but very sweet and juicy.
Took a late U-turn and got the Oranges at the orchard up the road from Bushy's, Pellegrino's Fresh Fruits, 39c/kg and they are also sweet and juicy.
Ginger @$1.99/kg was decent as well.
any opinions about this place?
