Apart from the Paperback books, e-Books and audio books, will there ever be an extensive and more diverse range of products being sold on the Australian Amazon store, like it is in the States, France and UK? What are your thoughts? Thanks :) Also have a read of this article

one of aus's biggest pitfalls is its insanely high postage rates and relatively low population, so i really do not think its that economical for amazon to expand to aus, and if they do come down here , we will still only get a watered down version.
Agree. I think it's more of the international competition holding Australian business' down which is why it would hard to establish an appealing and persuasive prices like all the other Amazon stores?
Amazon selling fee is more than ebay & paypal fees combined
It won't feasible for them to come here, Economies of Scale is very significant in the kind of business they are in.
Rumour has it that Amazon is setting up distribution centre in Singapore. This will act as Amazon's Central for Asia. Don't ask me where I get this information from, just a rumour.
