PlayStation Plus Card Canada (AUD $50.56) - Works on US Accounts @ PC Game Supply

240

I'm sure if you have U.S PSN Accounts, you would have received emails about price increases from the 22nd of September.

I came across this a while back and I'm not sure if people know about it. Essentially you can purchase prepaid $49.99 Canadian Playstation Plus Cards to use on your U.S accounts. I just purchased two today and they do work! Only the prepaid money cards do not work across different countries and regions. Stock up before they increase the price to $60 US and $70 Canadian respectively, which would then essentially be the same as the current prices for Australia.

Interesting. So no issue renewing a US PSN+ account with a CA card?

I was about to buy from Saugagamers, using their current 'WINNING' coupon code (2 x 12month subscription for $111AUD)

What a great price. Seriously I regret making an AU psn id.

How does an AU psn id, stop you getting this deal?

      • It is because the deal only works with US and Canada psn network accounts.

        • From what I understand, just make a US/Canada account and activate it on the system.
Plus membership features should be shared with other local accounts.

"One PlayStation Plus membership allows all local accounts on the subscriber’s ‘Primary PS4’ to play online through their SEN accounts. The PlayStation Plus member does not need to be logged in on the PlayStation 4 for other users to play online."

Cost me $49.89 AUD ($37.95 USD) yesterday to buy from this deal:
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/deals/gameflip.com

They have a $5 USD bonus if you buy anything above $26. That would make another card $32.95 USD ($43.31 AUD). Given US PSN is raising prices, it's worth it to stack up if you're going to stick to ps plus.

Ok so I was looking at this deal too before I posted too. From what I gather and correct me if I wrong, the $5 off promotion only works on your next purchase and the cheapest price listed right now US $ 39.95 (AUD 52.98)

The deal would be cheaper only if you purchased two PSN cards, in separate transactions too for the $5 promo to kick in. After which it would be AUD $3 cheaper overall, essentially making the overall transaction worth US $73.90 (AUD 98.01) given you used the referral code to save one dollar in this first transaction - I calculated $73.90 using $38.95 + $34.95.

However if you only want to purchase one PSN, the price would be US $38.95 (AUD 51.66) after the referral code gives you a dollar off making it a bit more expensive compared to the current PCGameSupply deal.

Agreed. They've raised the price by $2. Cheaper for the second buy after the raise.

    Excellent find OP. Thanks!

Are we able to stack current active US PS+ account with this CA PSN subscription? My current subscription ends next year - Yes

Update: Found my answer here. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/260637

    • Worked for me :)

  • Thanks op, bought two and both redeemed

  • Bugga. They no longer list this anymore. Is there anywhere else to get a cheap PS Plus subscription before the official price jump later this month? I normally use Amazon but it's RRP.

    • Unlucky man, yeah i think they finally caught on. The only thing I can suggest to you is to search google for similar sights that sell $49.99 Canadian PSN plus cards via digital delivery. Walmart in Canada says they do, but I haven't tried it so I'm not sure it works. Worth a try though I suppose, if not the order will get cancelled or refunded anyway. Good luck! —- EDIT: Nevermind the Walmart isn't Canadian :/

Another one I found was $61.96 AUD

      • Cheers I grabbed one from them. Got it for $46.99 USD ($63.63AUD) so a $3 USD saving.. better than nothing!
