Haagen Dazs Ice Cream $9 (Was $11.49) @ Woolworths

180

It looks like haagen daz is making a comeback into Australia. I believe this is the 2nd week colesworth have stocked them and I guess now is a good time to try and determine whether you think they are overpriced or not.

Personally I love the green tea but it doesn't seem like they have it yet.

Very overpriced, even the specialty ice cream stores like Baskin Robbins, Ben and Jerry's have better taste and lower price.

      • I personally find the American ice creams way to sweet. I'd go this or Movenpick but if your price sensitive there is lots of alternatives.

          Movenpick tastes powdery and weird.

          Royal Copenhagen for me.

        • @LoopyLou: i normally just have their boring vanilla tastes the best to me.

        • @LoopyLou:

          Agree, Movenpick tastes weird…

        • Tried the Movenpick from the Groupon deal and find their ice creams very very weird in flavour with artificial flavouring and colors despite their ad that it's all natural.
For example I purposely ordered pistachio, macadamia and I think hazelnut in their shop and realistically they should taste similar however all 3 tasted mightly different and the pistachio actually tasted like some sort of wacky bubble gum flavour.

That's still expensive enough to warrant an unboxing youtube video.

  • Hell, its expensive, didnt think supermarket ice cream can price that much

in China it is considered as a luxury ice cream, selling almost $40 per tub. So you get to see them open these high end Haagen Dazs dessert restaurants, where they sell even more overpriced selections of ice creams dessert.

      • Haagen-Dazs sell its ice cream in China in stand-alone shops not in super markets. The highest priced on the menu is equivalent to $35 US but these are not sold in tubs but as dessert selections.

  • I love haagen dazs. Strawberry is my fave! Thanks op
