Looking to Buy Subway Franchise.Any Advice or What to Look for.??

Hi,

I am looking to get into running a subway franchise. It's my first time managing a business. So looking for advice or comments on :-

1. What documents to ask from broker?? ( if he is hiding anything )
2. What things to look for in the Store ??
3. What things to beware of ??

Just don't want to go into a debt and realise it was a mistake.

I have the combo report and some other documents relating to that store.

I know businesses all over the place are going down.

Any advice on this if you have managed a franchise, looked into buying a franchise Or in general will be appreciated.

  When someone redeems the free cookie from survey make sure to collect the receipt, often they don't which means you can go back and redeem it again.

  i'd recommend going into a subway(s) and see if you can talk to the franchisee.

  Write a business plan! Make sure you work out all your costings and expected earnings. Also, make sure to hire good looking staff for repeated business. Sorry I'm not available though.

  From seeing family who own/run a Boost, I would say:

  • Have a business plan
  • Don't expect that plan to include holidays
  • Check what the passing traffic is like (in a uni, shopping strip, fast food corner)
  • Don't expect any help/support from the Big Company. You might get it, you might not, don't bank on it.

  Location makes a big difference for fast food. a high traffic area with maximum visability can make all the difference
