Hi guys,
I'm new to posting deals so unsure if this is worthy of a deal but I found this on reddit
https://www.reddit.com/r/vita/comments/504g12/64_gb_memory_c…

Price for 64gb Memory card for the vita, price on site says US$85.99 (AUD~113.39).
But I paid $125.10 AUD with shipping and conversion through Paypal.

You might want to try the code: CENSORED
To see if it brings it down a bit.

Cheapest I can find at the moment for these overpriced cards.

  • I'd say that's a pretty average price for the card. Try second hand on gumtree or ebay, I've seen second hand Vita's with 64gb memory cards go for $120 (that's how I got mine after my first Vita was stolen).

$5 doesn't seem worth the risk of a potentially worn out or mistreated item.
That's just 4% difference in price.

I think he means he got a whole vita console PLUS a 64GB card for $120.

With 64gb memory cards? You sure about that? I mean 64gb memory cards are pretty niche and only acquired through import shops from Japan and Asia and I find it hard to believe that someone would sell something like that let alone at such a low price. Vita consoles with basic 4gb or 8gb cards generally go for around $120-180 though.

It was probably cheap on Gumtree because he was just buying his own stolen vita back.

after my first Vita was stolen

        • I was a little worried I was buying a stolen Vita, but the guy seemed pretty legit.

      • 100% bought both for $120. It was an absolute bargain hence why I jumped on it. Guy I bought it from said he was done playing video games.

        • You got an insanely good deal. If I saw a Vita with a 64GB memory card at that price I'd buy it in an instant :P

Good time to get one with games getting decrypted.

Nah, now that it's open, probs be microSD adapters in the near future.

    • Oh has it been hacked like the psp?

      • You can't play ISOs on it. Yet.

        Just homebrew for now.

Sony will eventually release a new firmware for it though that fixes the exploit, and if you don't upgrade it, you can't access the PSN and download anything.

In case anyone is wondering why they are so expensive… it's because Sony uses propriety memory cards for the Vita and 64GB is the largest size you can buy right now. They aren't sold outside of Japan either.

It's like the old PS2 memory cards. They cost a fortune way back when but in those days an 8MB card was desirable.

      • That 8MB is actually 8 Megabits. That's 1MB. They sold for $40. What a rip.

The Gamecube card was even worse. They were $35 but you got even less than 1MB from it.

    Cheaper at Amazon.JP

$121.32 delivered and it takes two days rather than three weeks.

If you keep an eye on them they drop to $105 often.

  • Any local stores still selling the oled vita brand new?

    • I think all stocks of that model went out a year or two ago but I'd love to be proven wrong

    • Ebgames still has them at 269, same price as the slim model.

      • In stores or just online? I can't find anything on their website other than preowned.

Which store did you see it at?

        • Just checked Ebgames and found out they no longer has it. Though it's still there 2 months ago when I bought it.

Wow, I think I paid around $107 when these came out years ago. Crazy that they haven't gone down at all.

  • Where do you input the code CENSORED?

    • +1

      It's NSFW that's why it's censored. Sorry

    • On the payment screen, at the bottom there is a button that says "Coupons, Store Credit, or Affiliate Balance"

      • Thanks, looks like it takes of $3

        • DYOSHII and BLUEVITA also give discounts.

  • The price says $147.67 AUD. How you get $113.39 AUD?

  • They only did this sale because the Vita has a new kernal exploit which allows copied games

Hence now people will need big memory cards

  • the sale is over… cause price shows AUD~147.67

  • Wow I must be lucky to get 2x32gb and a 64gb along with a OLED Vita for $200 in Gumtree when PS Vita was thought to be dead.

    • how lucky! you could easily pimp that off for a large profit nowadays
