Could be an error but there are plenty sitting there. You cant use the price beat as these flights are late night, overnight on the return. Travel seems to be on numerous days of the week.

Great deal, but it surely would be so inconvenient for quite a few people to arrive in Cairns at 00:45hrs, and come back to Melbourne at 04:40hrs on the return. Plus, Tiger has kind of already set a precedent on the reliability of new routes with how the Hobart - Adelaide went. Of course you can't complain at the price, but be ready to take a risk, it could be another Airways moment.
The late hours are one thing that makes it cheaper, they can schedule their planes easier.

jetstar do not have a MEL-CNS flight within 1hr of Tigers.

This is all the sales ticket I could find, adioso is not real-time update and also the fare is wrong on adioso. Seems like Tigerairways start flying from Melbourne to Cairns only from 17/9/2010, I couldn't find any flight before that.

This is from Melbourne to Cairns, I have checked and there is return ticket at sales price from Cairns to Melbourne with those above date as well (i.e depart sat, return on tue)
Note: Return flight is at 00.15AM, it means the night of the previous day so be careful when you book. i.e Mon 00.15AM means you have to leave Cairns on Sunday night.

I've flown with Tiger half a dozen times, never had an issue. Jetstar on the other hand…
Also just remember to get insurance. Last time the missus got sick just before flight and thankfully with insurance we got 90% of our money back

Great deal. The first nights accommodation will cost more than the return airfares for a family of 4. I guess you don't need accommodation on the last night - just some match sticks to keep your eyes open.

i guess mel-cain should be around 4 hrs as well, melb-gold coast already 2 hr. how can be melb to cairn only 2 hrs?
I forgot about the day light saving, that explains why. We have DST adjust on 3/10.
So 21.20 (DST) is 20.20 (EST), so the flight time is 3h 15'.
Same for return flight: 4.40 (DST) is 3.40(EST).
BTW, my flight got affected by the re-schechuling of MEL-Hobart route, and I have subscribed to that 10% link in the email but how come I didn't get 10% off for this booking?

The 10% deal wouldn't work because its using a old system that has not included Cairns, its the same system from like 1yr ago.
Are you working for Tigerairways? If so please explain how that deal works, it doesn't seems to give me 10% OFF on any route I tested.
For example, I tried to book Mel-Adelaide, price showing is $38, and I fill in all my details, with same email address that I booked for MEL-HOB affected flight. I continued until the last step, and even click Pay, it still show me the full price.
Also, the claim "10% off deal wouldn't work because of old system" is not valid. The term and condition clearly said that I got 10% off for my next booking. Old system or new system is the matter of TigerAirways and as a customer I don't care how TigerAirways do it, I should get my 10% OFF.
I just got off the phone with the guy from TigerAirways call center. Lousy staff trying to make excuses, - First he told me the price I got already includes 10% off, the full price is $28 then I told him to make a calculation by himself to see what is 10% off of $28.
- After a long wait, he now tell me a new BS excuse that the lowest price is actually $88 and I got >64% off.
Not to mention that TigerAirways use I**** call center that can't speak and properly understand English.
I have to explain to him many times that the price is $23.80 and that is public price that EVERYONE can book this morning. This moron makes me really MAD, keep pulling excuses.
I told him to get someone from TigerAirways headoffice that have better knowledge than him to call me back and talk with me, but he said there is only PO Box address in Melb. Why the F*** do I have to write POSTAL MAIL to them, it is their problem and they need to give me what they offered.
I want to complain about that guy and he asked me to hang up and call back the same number to complain about him with … other operator since there is NO complaint number (WTF !!!)
Now it's not about money anymore but since this guy make me really MAD, I will follow this matter up. I really hate it when the call center staff instead of admitting that they are wrong keep make BS excuses to me.

Ah, I got it, I've just checked the link in my email, it takes you to a page where you enter your affected flight, and then it re-direct you to the proper link with 10% OFF.
In fact you can enter anything in the link from your email and it still re-direct you to the proper link which is the link you posted above.
What the link you posted does is adding a cookies so that when you search flight, the search engine will return a fare with 10% OFF. It doesn't matter you got affected flight or not, anyone can book for ticket with 10% OFF.
This is a good news for ALL OZBargainers, if they want to combine it with the current sales, should it deserve a new ozbagain thread? 10% OFF on all flight with current sales with TigerAirways.
