Depends how long you like your elephants to live..
This is for your first domain with godaddy if your existing its not valid
We can only offer such great promotions by limiting them to one per customer. It looks as if you’ve already used this type of promotion.
I remember your first domain was always 0.99c
I checked the domain I wanted. Even with promo code, it's $4,979.94. I don't need it that bad.
Does that include GST ?
No it doesn't, why do you bother asking such stupid questions?
Ask your mother
ONLY 1st year offer, $16 nx year.
So $17.24/2years, or $8.62/year. Not such a great deal really then.
Having used GoDaddy for a number of years, I've had both good and bad experiences.
I will say that I am impressed with their customer service which is 24/7 and a local call from Australia which is routed to their US call center.. I've called in the past before and been satisfied with their support. I do however find their pricing to be misleading as new hosting plans and domains are charged at highly competitive/attractive prices, but once the honeymoon (or domainmoon period) is over, the reality sets in and they may not be the cheapest.
If you're looking for good support, and an established company that won't go bust overnight, Godaddy seems to be a good choice.
Go with Namecheap or Gandi and save yourselves the stress. GoDaddy are shoddy.
I haven't had stress with godaddy. I've used them for about 5 years. I've needed their support a few times. Each time, the staff were very helpful. All of the bugs were because of flaky UI (not good), but, they helped me work around the issue and were easily contactable in the evening (one call at 1:50am Arizona time, another call at 8:45pm AEST).
I'll check out your suggestions because options are good. Thanks for the heads up.
Name cheap shouldn't be mentioned. Namesilo gets good wraps by those in the industry
They're all shoddy. My rule of thumb is find the cheapest registrar, but never host with them. Find one who has reasonably priced long term pricing & move your domains across after the discounting ends.
Thank you for posting this before I did. Gandi have a great rep but you can't transfer in .au's (just registration).
I bought a couple here but moved them over to crazy domains after the first year. AUD and service is good with crazy domains in my experience
I like that they are the last one not owned by Melbourne IT, but their support is awful. Many clients have had nothing but trouble with them.
I spoke to a human in oz and they helped me the one time I did need help
is it just for 1 year though - I assume so.
