It's good you pasted this here, as they went and changed them to remove the minimum spend and promotional items disclaimer… as I said in the main thread it shows how they make things up as they go.

No they can't! You've put fairly strict limites on them. Eg $30 Voucher can only be used on $60+ spend.
Personally thats consistent with Shopping Square, since when havent they been dodgy , okay okay not this dodgy but they havent exactly been a good place to buy more than once.

not good enough. i'd rather things like this get shut down for good, instead of thinking that they can use dodgy shopping practices and just weasel their way out of it when they get caught. Australia is a highly developed nation, and it maintains that status partly by the rules that govern it… you may get away with things like this in the developing world, but not here.

And from the promotion guidelines:

I got in in time for the vouchers. Sent in my claim already.
However, their postage costs are shocking!
No idea how I'm going to be able to use up the voucher if even a SATA cable costs $10 to deliver.
Forget the high postage costs, they've just jacked up the prices an insane amount…
eg. I was looking at the Sandisk 16GB microSD cards all last week, they were $38.95 which was quite good. Obviously I'm still holding off for the arrival of the voucher, but now I just checked and the price has gone up.
But by how much you ask?

Nothing showing up for me, noting on the voucher part of my account either. So thats it, I'm crossing SS off my xmas card list right now. Its a shame for them because I have spent about $200 with them in the last year or so.
well i got my voucher. saw it under 'my discount voucher' on the SS site..
i have been getting stuff from them for 3 years now, no problems to date. all items sent with registered post and well packaged..they have had some good promotions now and then when they included shipping caps and all and i guess those were some good bargains. and now a free $20 to buy whatever i want within the next 3 months. maybe its just me but i have no complaints..
Well aint i lucky. I took advantage of their 10 dollar shipping cap - i got 3 2gb flashcards which came down to 21 bucks + 15 shipping BEFORE the cap, i bought that for 10 dollars shipping + 1 dolalr extra after coupon. I then waited until the shipping promotion was over and used my GF's identity to buy a 8 gb tf card for 20.50 +the normal 6 dollar shipping.
Dodgy company, but i dodged them out even more :D
+1 happy dude who got easily $50+ of stuff for 17 bucks.
Edit: and you people could have screwed them over by buying gift vouchers and trading to potential buyers. There used to be a 20 dollar gift, but the min is 25 now. I'm sure there are people out there who are willing to buy a 25 gift voucher for 15 bucks ro somewhat. Instant 10 dolalr gain!
I too have noticed that shipping costs have increased on some items, and other prices have gone up. Basically they're making it not very worthwhile to redeem the vouchers.
fellator, that's an interesting idea re the $25 voucher but I don't think people will buy it… so I'd end up spending an extra $5 and might never use it.
or people shud have held onto their vouchers and waited. i knew what i wanted and there was no increase in price so all good for me. vouchers last till dec so yeh, im sure the prices will go down. That or wasste it on some 1 dollar shipping thingy
I agree shopping square should be shut down. The best way to do this is to NOT BUY ANYTHING from them. If you complain about their promotions and service and continue to go back then you have no one else to blame but yourself. I only have to be bitten once to never go back. After loosing $600 on a phone which they never sent I never intend using them again no matter how good the prices are.
