I believe Choice and City West Water's point in the study was to compare the laundry detergents impact on the environment but for us bargain hunters they have included a dirt removal score vs. cost per wash. Ran it by the missus and apparently we use Cold Power (not Duo,oops) which has a bad dirt score and is the most expensive per wash. Will be trying out Omo next wash.

Nice one neil, but you might want to read it more carefully.
Do you have top or front loader?
On Top loader Coles Smart Buy Laundry Powder Concentrate Lemon Fresh (B), rates at 75 for washing vs Omo 77 but cost per wash is 37c vs Omo's 45c - says its ok for front loader as well.
We are bargain hunting of course….
Sorry, I meant Cold power, the one at $.73 per wash. It's a battle to get the missus onto supermarket brands. We'll start with the Omo and when I'm feeling lucky sneak the Coles brand in. ;)
If I recall correctly, Choice's last review included testing a half or quarter dose of the best rated front loader detergent, and the finding was that it still performed highly.
Something to look into if you're wanting to decrease your cost per wash.
