Just thought of a way to renew Woolies Egift cards.
Basically by placing an online order at Woolworths, paying with your egift card, then wait a day and cancel the order.
You then are sent a Coupon Code (as refund, similar to SCgPc-Yn-sHu) to your account email, for use at WOW online only.
If you ring their generic 1800 number, 1800 000 610, and ask them to send you an eGiftcard to replace the Coupon Code, you will have 12 month expiry on the new egiftcard.
This may seem quite manipulative, but giftcards and refund coupons are arguably an intentional devaluation of customers funds, and are non-refundable with a relatively short expiry of your cash value.
So if you need to try this, it should be without any real risk to you.
I hope no one takes offense to this topic, but I intend it as a more fair way to restore value that I feel should be renewable on all giftcards.
I thought of an easier way - use it within 2 years
