Purchased thanks OP. This means I no longer have to go on OzBargain!
If only there were an Antiques Roadshow for stuff like this.
that dude would be disappointed :(
I might buy that, and yes I'm serious.
We have laptops here at my workplace that still have Floppy Disk drives.
When I joined the co ~2yrs ago, I laughed when I saw it.
Everything runs off our servers anyway.
I also laughed my heart out, when I went to the stationery drawer.
I saw a pack of unopened Floppy Disks.
Anyways, about 2 months ago, I went looting.
So I opened that same drawer to grab some highlighters, markers, pens, etc etc
…and there I saw, an unopened packet of Floppy Disks…
…except this was a different packet !
So someone used the previous packet of Five… then went out and bought another packet !!!
Crazy
Damn. Floppy disks must be crazy expensive these days.
Can't really find them on staticICE. On eBay there are still people selling them for ~$1-$2.50 for a 3.5" 1.44MB floppy disk (in a pack of 10 or 20).
last month I saw them in the mega Daiso/100yen shop in Funabashi.
Found the bargain of the year, yeah the year 1987.
"The bargain of the year" has been reduced by $5 now.
Interesting that the ad has over 500 views. But his other ad has 7 views. And if you google "bargain of the year" (in quotes) it returns this thread lol.
Bargain price for an antique. And sealed in the original packaging too!
