Razer Sabertooth Elite Gaming Controller for Xbox 360, $69.95 @ EB GAMES (Instore Only)

40

Better, Cheaper alternative compared to the scuff 360 series controllers.

If you have ever used this controller, you know it feels amazing in your hands, the material used feels great, it has a matte feel to it.

4 additional buttons that can be programmed, really you have 6 extra buttons because the 2 pads on the back function as 2 per pad. (if can be flicked up or down serving as 2 buttons)

Set different profiles for different games, so you can set your own profile to play FPS, arcade games or racing games or entirely for another user.

The cable connected to the controller can be taken off, the cable is braided which is nice.

Comes with 2 green grips for the analog sticks, they're ok but i used Kontrol freaks.

Comes with a nice solid case for the controller

All around very decent, nice and neat for the price offered, i bought this back in 2013 and it was $120 at the time, prices have came down since then.

    • I believe you can connect it to the pc as well, although i never tried, i assume you could do it with a program, if not by default

      • It works by default. Windows treat it as an xbox controller.

    • How does this compare to the Steam controller

steam controller is a completely different beast…more appropriate to compare to Xbox One Elite Controller (and to standard Xbox One/360 controller).

      • Why? Xbox One Elite controller is just like the standard xbox One controller except for the paddle and removable thumb and pad.

I have to agree Steam Controller is completely different mainly because of the touchpad + gyro.

I have used X360 controller, Razer Onza, X1 controller, Razer Sabertooth, X1 Elite controller. The one that feel the most responsive and light on hand is Razer Sabertooth. I don't deny X1 Elite Controller is good but the it is a little bit on the heavier side for me.

        • Why?

uh, i think there is some kind of communication breakdown here, because i don't understand your objection…

the Razer Sabertooth and Xbox One Elite Controller are closer and more comparable to each other than either of them is to the Steam Controller. (you even stated that you agree that the Steam Controller is completely different…which was exactly my point)

at no point did i ever make any judgement of whether the elite controller is or is not better than the sabertooth. in fact, at no point did i ever make any judgement whatsoever of ANY controller being better than ANY OTHER controller.

          you have completely misunderstood.

@caprimulgus: Indeed kind sir I have misunderstood. I misread your sentence saying to compare steam controller to Xbox One Elite Controller.

Please pardon my monday brain fart.

          @Letrico:

no worries, merely a misunderstanding, all good mate! :)

You can try finding your closest store and phoning to confirm stock availability.

    So that's unavailable? lol

    • yo you can try JB HI FI, they might have some in stock, just price match it to eb games and show them the URL.

  • The price is good as the next cheapest on StaticIce is $83.40. It's a shame that the reviews on Amazon have been mixed, mainly centred around build quality.
