Warning to users and potential future consumers, getflix (netflix VPN service) have had their Sydney DNS servers down for the past hour. Would be a major headache for the tech illiterate. No response from their social media team at this time.

Tbh getflix is dying and I don't expect to be worth the trouble in due course.
I've pretty much given up too..
Don't think I'll renew next year when my current 12 months expires.
I'm using their VPN periodically and that's about it.
Been having issues since about 11am with DNS resolution .. diagnosed down to the same conclusion - Getflix Syd DNS servers down (Both). They currently ping successfully at 25ms so ill try again. But will setup Melb DNS as secondary as its only 35ms and will remove dependancy on one bank of servers.
I am also getting ping reply from both their Sydney DNS servers which is odd, I am running isp provided until stability is returned.
Anyone clued up here I'm a long term user of USA Netflix and used getflix couple of years if not more.
I use a telstra provided modem and older edition Apple TV and since moving house I'm getting cut off Netflix soon after playing saying error please try again later.
Getflix are saying have I set up static ip or something? And tell me my telstra modem is no good as does not do that.
Said I should use DD-WRT or ASUS modem can someone please advise please strange how I need a different modem after years of using telstra modem.
Be nice to get my USA Netflix back again which I currently pay for.
It says on their web page: "If there is room for a 2nd DNS server, use the next closest location". It doesn't say explicitly but I guess to be on the safe side, current and future customers should set the secondary to a different city?
