Booked a hire car on europecar au website the other day for a UK holiday, clicked through the process, the price came to $219 I clicked ok then I get the confirmation email and it says the price is $250 . So 15 days later and numerous calls and emails and still not resolved. Fortunately, after having a few dealings with hire car companies, I took screen shots along the way so I have proof and it should turn out ok . I suggest others do the same
I did the rounds with all the agencies that find the best prices, then checked the europcar site and it was the same as the best price I could find (long time ozbargainer that I am)so I booked with them on the .com.au website thinking I could avoid hassle and also pay in oz dollars to save any exchange rate arguments
Try going to www.carhire.global and compare all prices inc europcar , should be able to book pretty easy there even with europcar
I wouldn't book direct, you often get better deals with http://www.rentalcars.com/en/.
