I have seen a TV on sale on eBay and they have over 1000 + feedback and have a TV on sale 1/4 of the price of Good Guys but the eBay one is from Taiwan they only accept bank transfer. Is it possible to get the money back due to fraud? I haven't bought it yet.

Is it worth the risk?
taiwan is 110 volts so you will need something to step up the voltage. not worth the hassle imho
It's as (un)safe as a bank transfer in Australia. If the recipient is fraudulent, you have almost no chance of getting your money back.
In Australia you could report them to the Police, but they probably won't do anything. In Taiwan, you won't really be able to do that.Thanks for the heads up! I think it's best my hard earned dollar is spent elsewhere :)
GEE!
tv from overseas -> damage risk!
from taiwan -> too far!
bank transfer -> too risky!
1+1+1=?
too obvious!I thought all ebay sellers had to offer papyal?
In the description it said BANK TRANSFER ONLY so it was probably dodgy
Maybe that's the way they operate in Taiwan to avoid Paypal fees. So you are not their intended customer anyway.
post a link.
i smell some rats
dodgy
Bank is just the agent. Their job is done when the recipient gets the money. They won't get involved in any dispute if things go pear shaped.
