VCR to DVD Adapter/Converter Any Suggestions?

Hi Guys,

Can anyone recommend this device (below) to convert all my old VHS to digital copies?

Or any other cheap alternative?

I know Jaycar is selling a similar product, but the cost difference to the above is too much.

Here's how using your existing equipemt with no spend

Put a usb into the usb port…
Plug VHS into tele using aerial and video cable…
Put tape in VHS, press play…
Turn Tele to Analogue Tuner…
Tune VHS to tele channels, ie, unplug the roof aerial and run the tele tuner to find the VHS's output within the tv chanells
Once you find the output, hit record on your tele's remote and the tape will be recorded onto the usb.

My tv only does Time shift… Dosnt let it record off ATV.

  that would still be ok, just pull the usb out before turning the timeshift off, the file should still be there…. but then it prolly doesn't have a usb

I purchased the eBay one and it's not too bad. I wish it could do more codec's or even change the resolution but for the price you can't go wrong.

  i have found those devices to be quite flexable just using thier capture functions and different software…. Capture off the device using VLC is an option…
