I'm trying to find a good deal for accommodation when I travel to Sydney (CBD) around June 28-30. It's for 3 people for 3 nights. I know I'm probably a bit too late now. The rooms are either booked out in most places or the rates are ridiculously high, but it would be good if someone has any tips or suggestions.

Sorry, I'm looking at around 150-200, with a minimum star rating of 3. I would prefer to be around the city centre, though I'm open to suggestions for fringe CBD too.

Thanks mate. Sounds like a good deal. Unfortunately, the hotel in Sydney (World Square) does not have available rooms at the end of June.
It's not a 3 star, but Formule 1 is a decent budget hotel with rooms for 3 at only $89 p/n. It's right on William St so you can basically walk to the city centre via Hyde Park. http://www.wotif.com/hotel/View?hotel=W10758&page=4&viewType…
Thanks for the suggestion, but my family prefers to stay in min. 3 star hotel or apartment.
Do you have a rough idea of what price range you're looking for?
What is your definition of "ridiculously high" rates? What are you willing to pay and what is the minimum 'star rating' you are looking for?
