  The going rate for a driver for the full day (8 hrs) in Bali is around 600k IDR or $60 AUD, cheaper if you let them take you to pit stops where they earn a commission just for delivering you to the door.

  You should find out how much you'll pay for extra hours. We had a private driver for four days. Always too ages in traffic. Constant complaining.

  We pay $60 for up to 10 hours for our regular driver - we use him every time and have recommended him to many people. Has his own web site now too.

  With something like this it's pot luck. Many drivers over there are terrible and do the stop-start driving (accelerate, coast, accelerate coast) to try and save fuel and it makes me car sick, very uncomfortable. Or they only take you to places where they get commission.

  Once you find a good one stick with him.

  Normally pay $40 to $50 a day, for upto 12 hours
  Then a bit more if lots of driving
