All week I have been grabbing one of the Woolworths temporary reward cards at the counter (or just use your actual card if you have one), stroll in to BWS and grab a Seedsman beer of my choice (They look identical to Hahn Superdry packaging). Take said card and beer and they scan up free.
Ask for the receipt, it will have 20% off a carton if you like the beer..

So we contacted BWS and they weren't sure so we went by what was mentioned in the email. No members ever got back to us saying the above thus we unpublished as targeted. We also had a report saying they didn't receive the offer in the email. Everyday Rewards are notorious for targeted offers.
Now that we have confirmed that this is available to all the deal is fine.

I received 2 emails for 2 of my EDR cards, so tried other EDR cards that did not receive email - all worked. Email did state it was targeted, but wasn't.
First BWS I tried - staff member said it might work on temporary card, tried & it worked. Staff have said they thought it was a targeted offer.
Wasn't sure of process of reporting a deal that had been unpublished. Thought Woolies must have forced the deal to be taken down, so decided not to report.
Now back to drinking more FREE BEER 🍺 🍺 🍺

Yep, Ozbargain moderator kept on removing as they assumed it was a targeted offer. I really did try to share the joy!

BWS staff said Woolies have designed these beers to compete directly with recognised brands. The labels are almost the same as the known brands. I think a few lawyers must have checked out this range of beers. In promos BWS staff didn't realise these weren't the normal brand name beers.
I grabbed one last week and then bought a slab of the stuff, ended up costing $32 (have to scan your EDR card to get the discount. The only down side is that it's only 4.2%.
It won't be long until this stuff is subject to legal action, given how similar the packaging is to stuff already out there.
Also, Ultra Crisp is their mid-strength at 3.5%.
Similar label colour, names, font & placed beside name brands on shelves could mislead customers… I think Woolies lawyers would have been busy with this "premium" label house brand. They've fought this battle of the home brands in the supermarkets, so are experienced.
But Woolies pubs, supermarkets & bottle shops shift a huge amount of the name brand beer, so they might be reluctant in case it is removed from sale. That would leave only Woolies own brand versions in Woolies owned outlets.
Aldi has been selling brands with 99% similar logos and packaging to the majors for years now.
The big difference is Aldi don't stock the competing brands.
An Aldi customer is unlikely to believe they are buying the big brand product off the shelves stocked with mainly Aldi trademarked products.
In Woolies & BWS, these Woolies beers are placed beside the competitors beers - looking like those products.
Currently, the law allows companies to use similar colours and images as competitors, and the only cause for concern is “passing off” of trademarks.
Hilariously, “We do not have a strategy to mimic the packaging of branded products,” a Woolworths spokesperson responded.

I love the look the BWS people give you as they scan the beer, then the card and it comes up at $0… Some kind of beer wizard has crossed their path(they have no idea about the promo).

They all knew of the promo & first one suggested & tried a temporary EDR card for me.

OP isn't quite clear - can you get more than 1 free beer per EDR barcode?
e.g. Visit BWS 1/day and scan the same EDR card each time, getting 1 beer per day.

I've just grabbed a few temp cards, used once, then binned them.
1 🍺 per EDR card. (T&C in email. Probably enforced by EDR system, but not tested as can use free temporary cards.)

Have had no problem getting 2 free beers with 2 EDR cards at a time.
OzBargain tip: have multiple rewards cards / membership - when 1 isn't used for a while, there is usually a great offer to entice you back. Last Woolies offer I got was $20 off $50. Pay by discounted eGift cards for more savings 😯
Went out in style. Got 4 beers. Could use card more than once. Woolies dodged an ozbargain bullet on this one

Went to BWS, had forgotten name of beer, only that it started with "s". Checked every bottle of beer in the shop, finally found them in cool room.
Scanned at $3.60 before EDR card.

I guess $32 a carton of 4.2% beer is a new deal in itself. I'll see if the 20% a carton is a generic code and post it up.

I've walked in, grabbed a free temporary EDR card, grabbed a beer, they scanned the card, FREE BEER. Did this when deal was first posted over a week back. But deal was taken down before I could post this.
