… is a lie!
Looks like it is 10% back in Player Points. Boo!
Thanks guys
The cake is a lie?
Is that 10% back (in player points) on top of the player points you'd normally receive? Or in place of them?
I'm guessing you get 10% of the product's price back in Player Points instead of the usual points.
They do have some cheaper prices, but it sucks you can't use a voucher code with a discount code, and the minimum spend on what you can use the vouchers on has increased :o(
They've also scrapped the tiering system for points. Theres no incentive to save them up anymore as it doesn't get you a higher voucher value.
That's not true.
$2.50 2,500 Player Points (minimum voucher spend $20.00)
$5.00 5,000 Player Points (minimum voucher spend $30.00)
$10.00 10,000 Player Points (minimum voucher spend $60.00)
$20.00 20,000 Player Points (minimum voucher spend $100.00)
$25.00 25,000 Player Points (minimum voucher spend $150.00)
$30.00 30,000 Player Points (minimum voucher spend $160.00)
$35.00 35,000 Player Points (minimum voucher spend $175.00)
$40.00 40,000 Player Points (minimum voucher spend $200.00)
$50.00 50,000 Player Points (minimum voucher spend $275.00)
The only thing that's changes is the minimum voucher spend.
They really need to allow us to use discount/promotional codes together with these PP vouchers.
@Graffin: that shows that it's true. As the voucher prices went higher it required less points to obtain them. I have already talked to a rep at ozgameshop about this recently and they confirmed that the less points for higher dollar vouchers is permanently gone.
From memory the $50 voucher ended up only needing 42,500 points under the old tiering system.
Was going to place an order yesterday as well with fuzz 10% off looks like its expired and this is it now. Would have preferred the 10% off.
It's not 10% off. Change the title.
What are player points even good for? How is this a bargain?
A lot of the games there cost more than locally.
Their player points are decent at first glance, but you can only use one code for an order, which usually comes down to player points (spend X to save Y, roughly 15%-20%) or whatever sale code they have on.
Which means no stacking.
The email i got said the Cake code gets you 10% back in player points, not 10% off the price of everything
