    With original packaging and earphones?

    • +2

      What's in the box:
      1 x Apple iPod Shuffle 2GB Blue 1 x Apple EarPods 1 x Lightning to USB Cable

      • +1

        Doi. too blind. Thanks

    • +1

      Hijacking this comment…

      Package includes:
      * Apple Earphones (NOT Apple Earpods)
      * USB charging cable is a "3.5mm to USB" cable that is not compatible with other Apple devices.

Unless you prefer the original Apple Earphones, I wouldn't buy this item for the accessories alone.

  • +13

Why is there a lightning-to-USB cable when there's no lightning port?

    • +1

      something smells froggy

    • Because the don't make the old iPhone/iPod 30 pin cables, well, OEM ones anyway. So the connector is provided so you can charge via a lightning cable.

      • nope

        • -6

Nope all you want, fact is Apple doesn't make 30 pin cables anymore. Lightning cable was a post error anyway, so doesn't matter now.

        • +2

@lootenplunder: nope that your explantion is incorrect, by your own admission.

      • +4

AFAIK the connection is via the 3.5mm headphone jack (I owned one of these way back when Wu-Tang spray jackets were cool). There is no 30-pin connector either on this model. The iPod nano had the 30-pin connector, not the shuffle.

  • I couldn't find their ABN on their website.

      • +3

Still needs to be displayed somewhere on site or it doesn't meet legal requirements to operate in Australia.

        • -1

          Really? Source?

        • +3

          Make sure that you:
display the company name, the words ‘Australian Company Number’ (or ‘ACN’) or ‘Australian Business Number’ (or ‘ABN’) and the relevant number on:
the common seal (if the company has one)
every public document of the company
every negotiable instrument (e.g. cheque, promissory note ) of the company, and
          all documents lodged with ASIC.

I wouldn't consider a website to be part of any of those.

        • @crs:
Lol I wouldn't rely on a Australian Government website to provide accurate details. Nearly every one has conflicting or absent information, unless you speak to a representative. If I can find the information I read, I'll post a link. Thanks for the link as well :)

  • Sorry guys no lightning cable - just a typo they do come in original package with charger (not lightning cable)

    • There is no charger in the packaging but there is a "USB to 3.5mm cable" included for charging and data transfer!

      What’s included in the box:
      iPod shuffle
      Apple earphones
      iPod shuffle USB cable
      Quick Start guide

Terms and conditions "we do charge a 2.49% handling fee for PayPal, Visa and MasterCard. Amex Varies"

  • +1

That's how much they're worth? I should sell mine.
I would expect these to be much cheaper.
These things are from 2005, before phones could play mp3s.

    • They make a very sexy Y2K-esque tie-clip!

    • +1

They sell for 75 dollars on the apple store, I remember getting one around 5 year back for 49 dollars.

    • no this is 4th gen and likely from 2010. I had the second gen one which looked similar but was less square, silver and 1gb. either of them are excellent at what they do though - last for ages, hold enough music for the gym, let you knock the thing around as much as you like etc

  • +1

Hmm this is interesting why these are being dumped maybe apple is dropping ipod completely next release.

  • +7

Hey guys, we just bought up a big batch because the online store is relatively new. As far as we are aware Apple aren't dumping product or anything of the like.

If any concerns about ABN or ownership we are wholly owned by QC Group which has been Apple Authorised for many years and has been trading since 2005.

Don't be afraid to reach out to us with any questions we are here to help

  • -1

    So who has bought this?

    • -1

Quite a few people back in 2007 or so.

I doubt that anybody bothers with them now days.

  • Thanks, have been looking out for a decently built mp3 player for cycling/gym.

    • +1

Sony Walkman is pretty good for this as it is behind the head and waterproof other people use their phones and they are constantly distracted in the gym.

  • +1

Cheaper than buying the earpods from the Apple Store that's for sure.

    • +2

I dont think these come with earpods but the old earbuds instead

    • +3

They are not Earpods… just the old school Apple Earphones.

      • It says on the description earpods.

        • Description is wrong. Look at the Apple website.

  • thanks, got 1. extra 73 cents to pay with paypal.

  • +2

Wow Guys!!! All Gone…. Roughly 3-5 units per minute gone out!

I will try to find something out to throw out for you all again soon. Sorry for those who missed out.

    Ozbargained

    • Will wait for next ozbargain deal.

      • +1

Its been up for 50 minutes until it was out of stock and since they mentioned 3-5 units/minute, lets just use 4 units/minute so they probably had around 200 units

      • -1

        did you edit your comment?

    • +3

I didn't know i needed this, but now that it's out of stock i really need this…

  • +1

No apology needed. Let's pretend Apple never made this product.

  • Bought one as iHistory collection. Thanks Rep.

  • Missed out, damn.

  • Price has gone up to $99,999.00. Bargain.

    • Price is $29, adds to cart $29, pays for it and it turns out you just paid $99,999.00 on your bank account.

      life ruined

  • just missed…….

    • Just???????, fam it was like 20 minutes ago.

      ffs

  • +8

Sorry about that awcyeung, we had a few people sneaking them through in saved carts. Only have 1 person checkout at $100k, their paypal didn't go through…Turns out they didn't have that much in their paypal account.

      • it was just a prank

        • bro

      • +2

If I had any negs left today I would give you another one.

        • You should be able to do more than 5 neg votes per day if you get greater than five +1 votes form a comment

  • Sad to have missed this.

I've used the same Shuffle for the past 6 years or so. Very hardy device for workouts, travelling, etc.

  • -3

How many people have actually bought this? Seems like some promotional stunt..

  • Fog, oos

  • Isn't the headphone port used to load songs?

lol Target is selling just the cable for $29 https://www.target.com.au/p/apple-ipod-shuffle-usb-cable/584…

  • i miss those old shuffle that has 0 buttons.

    • Don't worry, the new iPhone may have 0 headphone ports.

  • Never miss these.. Used to have the Chinese ones that had a screen, and play several music formats and videos hideously. Where apple those days worked on DRM and locking users to iTunes.

  • Got a call today from Ifrog about my postage to a parcel locker so it seems they will be shipping out today.

  • So lately I seem to trigger OzBargains, it's like when you never wash your car but then you do and it rains. Well I had been waiting for a deal on a Shuffle but couldn't find anything for a while so decided to just go into JB and pay retail, two days later, this….

Any other bargain someone would like me to start? sigh

  • This question i am asking is a long shot. But is there an android version of this mp3 player? because i prefer something lightweight like this but on android? thanks

    • +2

Lol this certainly doesn't run on iOS. Android would be an overkill for a no screen output music player. Takes a while to boot up Android You might be able to get generic players that are waterproof with more storage at the same price. But this deal is quite good.
