Huawei P8 or P9 Lite comparison

I am looking for some advice.

These two phones (Huawei P8 and Huawei P9 lite) are both around the $300 mark, and I am searching for a phone at around this price for a friend.

Which is the better phone of these two?

Is there something else I should be looking at? (not any bigger than these phones, which have a 5.2" screen)

I would be grateful for any advice.
