Honda CR-V Limited Edition 4WD Petrol Automatic

Hi All,

I am planning to buy LIMITED EDITION CR-V 4WD Auto. I am checking with the deals for the best price. Can you please advise me on the best price I can get it from any dealer in Melbourne?

The current lowest price I got it from a dealer is $34,000 (Including metallic paint worth of $500). Also advise me on the value of limited edition CR-V .

This should be a sticky in this forum.

Advice from many (including car salesman like Spackbace) is to search carsales.com.au find the lowest price for the exact spec you want and negotiate from there. If you don't like haggling, try a broker, plenty are out there.

      Yeah it should :/

$34k looks like a good price based on Carsales, with demos listed around $35,500-$36k

Side note, what's with people wanting out of the car with only a few kms on the clock?!

      • what's with people wanting out of the car with only a few kms on the clock?

the ashtrays filled up, time to change

        • Probably because they got sick of driving it.

$34k driveaway for a 4wd model sounds good.

Limited edition? So its the same as every other CRV out there besides the badges?

      • yeah, I don't get it. A private seller and the vehicle has onle done 500km, strange. surely people don't buy and sell after a week do they? still has plastic on the doors and seats.

  • As this is a special edition , don't see much details. Thanks

Best suggestion to negotiate best price, is wait until they call you back after putting a crazy price on the table. Then when they come back, say you will give them the deposit by credit card on the phone if they throw in roofbars, towbar and mats (Worth $2k to you, and only maybe $500 to the dealer)

I owned a CRV, nice car very easy on the tyres unlike the previous Forester. Mine was a Luxury, to be honest the limited editions etc are a bit of a gimmick but ok if you don't pay more for it. Now I have an Outlander PHEV, there are a few on carsales for $32-35k before haggling, 2014 Aspire with <15K on the clock. The PHEV is a way better SUV with FCM, ACC etc and the bonus of 50km EV range and 7l/100km city economy! Do yourself a favour and at least drive a PHEV before you put money on a CRV.
I've had my PHEV for 18 months and can say I'd never go back. If you can do about 60% EV km and can charge on offpeak electricity, savings of $10k per 100,000km (off peak power @10c/kwh vs petrol @$1.30) are achievable vs the CRV we replaced. Keep the vehicle for 10yrs/200K and the upgrade to the PHEV ends up being free if your current vehicle is worth $10k.
