Developed by id software, the studio that pioneered the first-person shooter genre and created multiplayer Deathmatch, DOOM returns as a brutally fun and challenging modern-day shooter experience. Relentless demons, impossibly destructive guns, and fast, fluid movement provide the foundation for intense, first-person combat – whether you’re obliterating demon hordes through the depths of Hell in the single-player campaign, or competing against your friends in numerous multiplayer modes. Expand your gameplay experience using DOOM SnapMap game editor to easily create, play, and share your content with the world.

STORY:
You’ve come here for a reason. The Union Aerospace Corporation’s massive research facility on Mars is overwhelmed by fierce and powerful demons, and only one person stands between their world and ours. As the lone DOOM Marine, you’ve been activated to do one thing – kill them all.

Worth the extra $2 to know you're not buying from scumbags

The price of this game seems to be falling very quickly.

Which is why you should never buy a game at release unless one loves paying full release day price.

      • Which there are a lot of fans willing to pay full RRP on release day. Nothing wrong with that. Personally I am waiting for it to come down to $20.

  • Price drop because its cracked now?

It says that it's a Humble Bundle store limited time deal. Although you can currently buy a Steam key for this a few dollars cheaper through Kinguin.

They did pretty well. 70 days to crack the Denuvo protection.

From what I've heard, the 'crack' makes Steam think that what you're playing is a demo, when it's actually running the full game. So it's actually not an actual crack, but just a bypass. If the Doom Demo is removed from the market, this bypass will stop working.

      • I bet ID Software will work with Steam to develop an update for Steam which kills that crack/bypass. Or they may just change the App ID of the Doom demo so the bypass is looking for a non existent game. Don't worry this bypass won't work for too long.

  • Doom is also $29.99usd on PSN US. Seems that this is a Quakecon special.

    thanks OP, grabbed a copy

  • I suggest changing the title to say "Humble Store" instead of "Humble Bundle" otherwise it's a bit misleading.
