I sent an email regarding an order to ozgameshop about 2 hours ago. I wanted to buy a game on special offer and one of the items in an older order had not been dispatched yet. I emailed the store asking whether they could cut the shipping rate by dispatching my new order (under $50) alongside with the item in my old order that had not been dispatched yet. No response, which is fine.
I decide to complete my order, the item + shipping. 10 minutes later I get an email saying that they can't combine the order because the item from my old order has already been dispatched. I check my orders to find that my old order was dispatched 2 minutes after I've completed the payment for the new order.
I felt that the rep was deliberately withholding a response until I completed my new order. I would've gone through with the purchase even if the rep had told me that they couldn't combine the orders into one shipment. The price of shipping doesn't bother me, rather how they dealt with this matter. I've also sent an email in the past regarding player points however it was never responded to.
Has anyone experienced something similar before?
I would feel the same way if it happened to me. I dont know how their shipping works but one explanation could be that your older order was actually already dispatched but there we a lag between them dispatching and letting you know they had dispatched it. As soon as they saw your email they may have fast fowarded the process of letting you know. But it mightve also been coincidence or what you thought happened was true.
